That always reminded me of that hotel room in the movie Bullitt where the protected witness gets offed right next to the highway.

Birmingham Parkway is too big for the traffic it carries, but I see a lot more traffic then heading up past Electric Avenue and down Faneuil street from this.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11031470.post-52038949731289176442009-01-14T14:53:00.000-05:002009-01-14T14:53:00.000-05:00As someone who works near there and does not take ...As someone who works near there and does not take the pike to work, I can't say how awful that would be. People already come down Soldiers Field Rd and speed right into the "so called non Rotary" (I've lived in Mass all my life and that is a rotary!) I am cut off every day by some Masshole who doesn't realize that you are supposed to yield to those already in the rotary.
Nonantum is already a death ride, covered with Ice all the time and with pot holes big enough to swallow you up.I can't believe that they would think that was a good place for an off ramp. Not to mention there are no sidewalks and there's an MCR pool there as well!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11031470.post-22770143051689303602009-01-12T12:16:00.000-05:002009-01-12T12:16:00.000-05:00Has anybody done a study on the impact that traffi...Has anybody done a study on the impact that traffic will have on the area? After all traffic is the biggest complaint when someone wants to do something.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11031470.post-77469430833915892292009-01-12T11:50:00.000-05:002009-01-12T11:50:00.000-05:00The TAB article (or the MTO?) calls the N. When I asked a few years back for better signage re: yielding & "right of way" there - as posted at other rotaries, I was told "it is NOT a rotary".

Also interesting they are considering dumping all these cars there at the same time they will be narrowing Nonatum Rd. to ONE lane!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
