Harvard pool access for community members

Taking a step towards the summer athletic facility memberships that Boston College offers to community residents, it was a pleasant surprise to learn at last night's Harvard Allston Task Force meeting that Harvard will open its swimming pool to its neighbors on evenings during the summer starting on Monday. To participate, go to the education portal at 175 N Harvard St (bring proof of residency) to get a membership card that can be used at the portal and pool.

It is excellent news. Do we have to pay a fee?

I went this morning to 175 N. Harvard. I had to ring a bell and talk to someone to gain entry. This person knew nothing about this. She indicated that the building was only the transportation dept. for Harvard. I would really like to take advantage so if you have more info about where to go, it'd be helpful. Thank you very much.

  4. The education portal is on the south side of the 175 N. Harvard St building (closest to Western Ave). The entrance is a few wooden steps and a small platform outside the door. I think the portal opens on Monday. Sorry your visit today wasn't more productive.
