Wildlife sighting
Just saw a small rabbit in front of Geekhouse Bikes on W. Sorrento St. Not like the deers that have been around Boston, but nice to see some nature in the city.

A rabbit moved into the house down the street from me over here in Brighton Center. Been there a month now.
We've seen a coyote in the wee hours at Herter park. I hope my wildlife doesn't eat your wildlife. We've also had some bunnies and possums (which scared the stuffing out of me -- I thought they were giant, mutant rats). And beautiful birds -- cardinals, mourning doves, waxwings, goldfinches... and the aforementioned red-tail hawk. It's a nice change from the rats and pigeons of our last place, although we did have a very fine Peregrine falcon in the North End. Sometimes he'd leave us half a pigeon. It was an incredibly satisfying sight.
A few years ago a red-tailed hawk swooped down and seized a sparrow--thwack!--right in front of my Hopedale St. window and carried it up into a tree to eat. Changed my whole view of Allston.
