Shouldn't you be posting about Allston squirt gun day? Tomorrow at noon, folks will be entering the Harvard Ave-Brighton Ave intersection once all the lights are red for a battle. Check it: http://www.boston.com/ae/events/articles/2008/08/22/building_community_with_squirt_guns/

Can someone tell me why the construction of a two family dwelling on 125-127 Brooks St is up for consideration with the review board after the fact that it has already been built?

  4. Maybe they built it without first getting the required zoning variances? ISD is supposed to stop construction if needed variances haven't been granted, but this wouldn't be the first time someone has gone to the Zoning Board after construction has started or finished.

It is my understanding that several residents who live on Upcrest Road are not happy about another two family being built with the already overcrowded parking conditions. I was also told that several folks objected to the construction of this dwelling but I do not honestly know what the outcome was to any neighbor objections. It seems very strange that the owner of the newly built two family home is now going in front of a review board even though some of the neighbors previously objected.
