Season's Greeting from Harvard Yard

After all that has happened this year, I guess it is sweet that Drew Faust still has me on her holiday card list.

    But what a bleak holiday card! Muddy footprints in the snow, tracking across an empty waste--it could almost be one of Harvard's Allston precincts. And the left-hand fork, the one not taken--was that the turn toward a new Harvard/Allston community?
