I think the Boston Public School's 5-zone school assignment proposal has a lot to offer Allston/Brighton. If approved, this plan would put families, students, and schools in Allston and Brighton into a zone exclusively for students who live in Allston and Brighton.
The result would probably be more parental involvement, more kids walking to school, and a strong community that would attract more families to our community.
BPS is hosting a public meeting about this plan on Tuesday, May 12 at 6:00 at the Edison School, 60 Glenmont Rd. More info is available at http://www.bostonpublicschools.com/zones
