How Beacon Hill organized to stop Suffolk's dormitory plan

There is a lot that Allston and Brighton can learn from how the Beacon Hill neighborhood organized when Suffolk University proposed a new building in their neighborhood. The Beacon Hill Civic Association website describes what they did:
  1. A petition to the Mayor asking him to stop the approval process and require a comprehensive master plan from Suffolk before considering any new building
  2. A "call to action" flyer explaining how people can get involved
  3. A sample letter to help people submit feedback to the BRA
  4. The comment letter submitted by the Beacon Hill Civic Association
