In May 2007, Harvard President Faust announced the creation of an executive vice president position to help Harvard "achieve a more integrated approach to the challenges presented by new ventures in science, Allston, and other areas that will call for more collaboration across traditional boundaries."
That position has now been filled by the hiring of Edward Forst, a top executive at investment bank Goldman Sachs.
