I know the City needs to find money wherever it can, but it isn't great to see this advertising that went up yesterday at Smith Field. I'd hope our public parks could be one place of refuge from the marketing and commercialization that pervades our society.

What is the ad for? Are you sure the city gave the ok for it to be posted? I saw a similar ad on an abandoned gas station near Brighton Center. I would be surprised if the advertiser had permission for either posting.
ReplyDeleteIt is an ad for computer software (no point in naming it and giving the company even more publicity). I called City Hall and the Parks Dept and neither knew anything about it. Maybe this is an illegal advertising campaign on public property instead of something permitted and sanctioned.
