Why Sierra Club endorsed Ciommo

I mentioned last week with some puzzlement that the Massachusetts Sierra Club endorsed Mark Ciommo in this year's district City Council race. Here is some more information from the Sierra Club on why they endorsed him:

"Mark Ciommo has consistently worked to fund and improve urban greenspace, decrease Boston’s carbon footprint, support and improve Boston’s recycling rate, increase compliance with the state’s idling law, support the application of LEED standards, and support residential energy efficiency."

Those all seem like admirable citywide projects, though as our A/B district councilor I am wondering what leadership Mark has shown on local environmental issues during his 2 years as City Councilor. Can anyone suggest some examples?
