A new old map at the library

The Honan Allston Library has on display a wonderful map showing Allston as it was 100 years ago (long before the Mass Pike and many of the other things that physically define our neighborhood today). The map was donated by a local resident and enlarged for public display. It is also a great use of one of the display cases that our neighbor Ronni Komarow got donated to the library from MIT.

  1. What's currently in the very very tall very very narrow display case by the left window?... on the other side, the left side of the reading room with the doors to the art gallery. The display in the case appears to have
    a.
    architectural floor plans?... and

    b.
paragraphs of text?... on opaque plastic made to be lit from the inside.
